Recycling Cartridges and Cell Phones

In the last six years we have successfully raised over $2,000 by recycling empty inkjet, laser, fax, copier printers and old cell phones.

A big “Thank You” for all of you who have been bringing in your used cartridges and old cell phones. Continue to drop them off in our boxes located by the church office, upstairs hallway by the narthex and downstairs by the bulletin board. It is very important that the items are dropped off at church because we can not always monitor the box that is located at the Tryon Post Office.

When I have three or more shipping boxes ready I pack and mail boxes through Fed Ex to “Access Computer Products” located in Denver. Marketing materials and postage are paid by the company; a great savings! Checks are sent to our church and submitted to the “Recycling Cartridges Account”.

Projects supported by the Fund: Craft projects, publicity for Outreach Ministry Bake Sale, Harvest Sale, Raffle, Youth Mission Trip. We will continue to add to the variety of projects such as purchasing Adult Discussion Videos such as Bill Moyers’ “Faith and Reason” Series.

A very special thank you to Stone Hedge Inn and Arledge Printers for saving items for us.  Please pass the word on that this is truly a “Win/Win” project. Recycling used cartridges and passing on the funds to some very worthwhile projects!

Contact me if you have suggestions for other drop off locations or questions. We continue to seek out corporate sponsors.

Remember the three R’s: Recycle, Reuse and Reduce!!!
