Women Interested In Spiritual Enlightenment
WISE is a spiritual book discussion group for women of our church and community. It began 11 years ago and continues to meet twice monthly in the church parlor.
WISE members affirm values of connectedness and community in  a safe, caring and confidential environment. Membership is open to all interested women who desire to receive and support each other with “spiritual hospitality”. WISE is dedicated to fostering sisterhood among its participants and to helping provide a balance of the feminine in a predominantly masculine culture. The purpose of the organization is the continued spiritual growth of each new member.
Books discussed in 2007 were “Life After Death: the Burden of Proof” Deepak Chopra and “God is at Eye Level: Photography as a Healing Art” by Jan Phillips.
Caring Projects supported by the members include CROP Walk and the purchase of a goat for Heifer International.

Our Next Meetings:

On  Mondays, February 4th, 18th, WISE will continue discussion of God is at Eye Level: Photography as a Healing Art by Jan Phillips at 2:00 in the Parlor.

Jan Phillips captures the timeless beauty and spirit of nature in her photos and provides an eloquent written context for those images to help others find the sacred in the “ordinary”. Interested women are invited to attend. Contact Joy Soderquist 859-3090.

We will be meeting on the first and third Mondays at 2:00 p.m. in the church Parlor.
Hope to see you there!
