February, Super Sunday Sings
Singing all day and dinner on the ground is an Appalachian tradition where congregations bring a picnic lunch or a covered dish and spend the whole afternoon singing their favorite inspirational songs and listening to sermons. February Super Sunday is an attempt to recreate the fun and fellowship of those old programs.
Join us following coffee hour on February 24th as we sing the old songs that we all love so well. Clara Ward and Lance Smith are putting together their favorite gospel tunes; Margaret Leach is helping us put together a Gospel Hymn book for the day. “Showers of Blessings” and “Heavenly Sunshine” are the forecast for the afternoon as we “Brighten the Corner” of the Fellowship Hall. Don’t miss the fun as we share songs of the spirit with one another. Lunch and drinks will be provided, just bring a song in your heart! Please contact the office by Wednesday, February 21st and reserve your space for lunch, so we can prepare enough food for everyone.
